Tutorial - Extracting from Cylindrical Movie
This tutorial shows how to retrieve the cylindrical image from an older format QuickTime VR movie.
Explanation
You may have an older style movie you no longer have the source panorama image for, but from which you want to retrieve the panorama for printing, recompression, conversion to cubic, or for another use.
For example, in this tutorial we are going to retrieve the cylindrical panorama from a multinode version 1.0 QuickTime VR movie created in 1995, the source image for which has been long since lost.
Step 1
Drag the version 1 or 2 Cylindrical QuickTime VR movie into the conversion area.

Step 2
The panorama will automatically be extracted from the first (or only) node.
If the QuickTime VR movie is a multinode movie, you can now select the node you want to extract from the node popup menu that appears on the right of the window.
Step 3
When the panorama you want is displayed, you can save it to disk by simply dragging the image onto the desktop.

You can also choose "Export Image..." from the File Menu.
Either way, the result will be a file containing the cylindrical image.
This ends the tutorial.
