Selecting and Labeling Hotspots
This tutorial demonstrates two ways to select hotspots and how to label them.
Introduction
CubicConnector has always supported the use of "labels" - pieces of text that show up in the QuickTime controller bar when the user moves their mouse over a hotspot, but version 2.0 adds the ability to label hotspots directly from the Hotspots area rather than waiting until connecting nodes. Version 2.0 also adds a hotspot selection menu to quickly find a particular hotspot.
Step 1 - Go to the Hotspots area
Select a node then move to the Hotspots area by clicking the "Hotspots" tab.

Unselected hotspots are shown in gray.
Step 2 - Select a hotspot by clicking on it
The normal way of selecting a hotspot is to simply click on it. It will turn blue.
When selected, a hotspot can be moved or resized by dragging in its body or dragging a corner point.
Step 3 - Select a hotspot from the hotspots popup
You can also select a hotspot from the popup menu to the left of the cube face image.
This menu will show how many hotspots there are and let you select one directly. If the hotspot is on a different cube face, the image will change to display it.
Step 4 - Label a hotspot
At the bottom left of the hotspots area is a "Label" field where you can enter text that will be displayed in the final QuickTime movie.

This field becomes enabled when a hotspot is selected. If there is an existing label attached, it is shown in the field ready for you to edit.
Labels are also shown in the hotspot popup menu, allowing you to quickly identify and select hotspots.
This ends the tutorial.
